The first acts for the 2025 Glasgow International Comedy Festival are revealed
It is that time of year when the headline acts for the Glasgow International Comedy Festival start to be revealed an we are excited to reveal our first headline acts for the 2025 festival: Connor Burns, Russell Kane and Jamali Maddix.
Scotland’s very own Connor Burns is one of the UK’s most exciting new talents. Over 7500 people saw him at the 2024 Edinburgh Fringe following a sold-out run in 2023. He will be headlining the King’s Theatre for the very first time.
Russell Kane is no stranger to the Glasgow International Comedy Festival. He will be bringing his unique recipe of sharp wit and “storming physical comedy” to the King’s Theatre in March.
Critically acclaimed comedian Jamali Maddix is back on the road with a brand-new show: Aston. Expect Jamali’s trademark brutally honest and unflinching perspectives on the world at large when he performs at Oran Mor.
Krista MacDonald, Festival Director is excited to reveal the first headliners for the 2025 festival: “It is always special to announce the first acts for the Glasgow International Comedy Festival and we have three very special ones to kick things off.
Russell, Connor and Jamali are all at different stages of their comedy careers, but they all know how to entertain and make crowds laugh. They will be three incredible shows.
It is always a privilege to be able to have homegrown Scottish comedians such as Connor headlining at incredible venues like the King’s Theatre during the festival.”
The Glasgow International Comedy Festival takes place from 12th March to 30th March 2025. The 2024 was a record-breaking festival for GICF, the biggest one in its history and 2025 is already shaping up to be even more spectacular.
