The first act for the 2024 Glasgow International Comedy Festival is revealed
It has been just over two months since the end of the 2023 Glasgow International Comedy Festival, and we are excited to announce Mark Nelson as our first act for the 2024 festival.
The Scottish funny man will be headlining the King’s Theatre for the first time at GICF 24.
Mark sold out both his 2023 festival shows, and demand for this special show will be high as he brings a distinctive mix of cutting observations, social commentary, and hilarious one-liners.
Speaking about headlining at the King’s, Mark said: “I am absolutely over the moon to be doing my own solo show at the King’s Theatre. It is honestly a dream come true.
And to be doing it as part of the Glasgow International Comedy Festival is the icing on the cake.”
Krista MacDonald, Festival Director is excited to reveal Mark as the first act for 2024: “Mark is an exceptionally talented comedian, and we can’t wait to have him at the King’s Theatre for the 2024 festival.
As a festival, it is always special to have homegrown Scottish talent headlining at prestigious venues like the King’s. This will be one not to be missed.”
Tickets go on sale via GlasgowComedyFestival.com at 12 noon on Friday 16th June.
