Introduction to Comedy Course for Women
The Glasgow International Comedy Festival aims to make sure that comedy is open to everyone and anyone. So while nothing in life is free, usually, we’re hosting a completely free 6-week ‘Introduction to Comedy’ course for women and marginalised genders, led by the hilarious and talented Viv Gee.
Viv is a stand-up comedian who has been teaching stand-up comedy for over 20 years. Under Viv’s guidance you’ll navigate the ins and outs of great comedy, boosting your confidence and honing your comedic chops. The grand finale? A spot on our mixed bill show hosted by Viv during the Glasgow International Comedy Festival. A fun and friendly atmosphere where you and your newfound pals can shine. It’s a chance to own the stage and dive into Glasgow’s thriving comedy scene.
Whether you’ve never even considered trying stand-up or you’ve been practicing your funnies in the mirror, this course will introduce you to the basics of stand-up & performance.
