Check out part one and recommendations from Elaine C Smith, Susie McCabe and Zara Gladman.
CONNOR BURNS RECOMMENDS…
Connor Burns is a man on the up and a must-see. He has already sold out three shows in The Garage and is close to selling out his fourth – so you will need to be quick.
RALPH BROWN: MY FIRST HOSTAGE SITUATION
Van Winkle West End
Saturday 30th March 2024
Show Time: 7:15pm
Connor says: “A crazy true story that you need to hear.”
RED RAW
Stand Comedy Club
Tuesday 19th & 26th March 2024
Show Time: 9:00pm
Connor says: “A proper Glasgow institution, Chaotic, fun and worth supporting a great club.”
MATT REED’S HA HARMAGEDDON
Stand Comedy Club
Sunday 24th March 2024
Show Time: 8:30pm
Connor says: “Just a naturally funny and gifted comedian”
VITTORIO ANGELONE RECOMMENDS…
Vittorio has sold out three shows across The Garage and The Stand. Here are his top three picks for this year’s festival.
PADDY YOUNG
The Old Hairdresser’s
Friday 22nd March 2024
Show Time: 9:00pm
Vittorio says: “Paddy Young is the handsomest boy in all the land and just a fantastic comedian. So distinct, characterful and original. Don’t tell him I said that though.”
You can also see Paddy as part of Rodeo – tickets available here
COLIN HOULT (WIP)
The Old Hairdresser’s
Saturday 23rd March 2024
Show Time: 3:30pm
Vittorio says: “I’m buzzing to see Colin Hoult outside of his usual Anna Mann triumphs. Went to see his last show three times. Relentlessly funny and packed with beautiful nonsense.”
LIAM WITHNAIL: CHRONIC BOOM
Stand Comedy Club
Friday 29th March 2024
Show Time: 8:00pm
Vittorio says: “Liam Withnail’s Chronic Boom was the best show I saw at the Fringe last year. Punchy, compelling, masterfully structured and performed. Truly sensational.”
JAMES GARDNER RECOMMENDS…
With over 18 million views online, James is one of Scotland’s most exciting new comedians. He has already sold out his Oran Mor show this year but he has decided to put on other shows with limited tickets available.
KEVIN DANIEL: WHAT’S THE WORST THAT CAN HAPPEN?
Van Winkle West End
Saturday 23rd March 2024
Show Time: 1:00pm
James says: “Kevin is a brilliant comedian on the rise. He’s a Glasgow boy from Springburn but lives in Leicester and is a rising star of the North East comedy scene. He’s got a lovely stage presence & a typically Glaswegian self-deprecating style of humour. Well worth a visit.”
SOMETHING FOR EVERYONE
The Griffin
Thursday 21st March 2024
Show Time: 8:00pm
James says: “I love a mixed bill because you get such variety and in this case you’re getting three of the best young comedians in Scotland. Thomas Elvin is already a big deal on the Scottish circuit but he’s genuinely hilarious & often has me in stitches. Pierce Higgins is another up and comer who’s already done tour support for Gary Faulds, had millions of likes as one half of Jamaica Street and has great energy on stage and jokes to match. Stu Campbell is great too – and three nicer guys you couldn’t meet.”
SUSAN RIDDELL: WONDER WOMAN
Stand Comedy Club
Sunday 31st March 2024
Show Time: 8:30pm
James says: “Susan is one of my favourite comedians, she encapsulates Glaswegian humour with everything she does and is one of the funniest around. I’ve seen Susan’s last two shows which were amazing and Wonder Woman is a guaranteed hit, don’t miss out.”
